This is the most common type of crystals found in urine.
They have octahedral or envelope shape .
Also it appear as biconcave disks , which have dumble shape.
Envelope shape crystals call as – calcium oxalate monohydrate and dumble shape crystals call as calcium oxalate dyhydrate.
They are soluble in Hcl but not in acitic acid.
Calcium oxalate crystals can also seen in urine with neutral PH.
In diabetes mellitus & liver diseases the calcium oxalate crystals can be present in urine.
Not only that these can be seen after ingestion of tomato , Spanish , vitamin C and orange.
